The SPARK! Engineering Festival returns to Lincoln Cathedral from 3rd to 5th May 2019.

This year SPARK! promises to be even bigger and better than in previous years. For the first time, SPARK! 2019 will incorporate civil engineering to celebrate and showcase the marvellous achievements of this discipline. This ties in nicely with the construction of Lincoln’s new eastern bypass and the many challenges it presents.

The magnificent setting of Lincoln Cathedral is a civil engineering masterpiece in its own right, and the ICE bridge schools interactive exhibit is sure to be another big hit with visitors.

Other attractions include exhibits by engineering businesses, science busking, robot displays, a monowheel warhorse, a historical engineering timeline and an exhibit describing the links between civil engineering and archaeology.

Friday 3rd May is schools day, while the event will be open from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 4th May and from 12 noon until 3pm on Sunday 5th May.

The event is free and there will be lots of hands-on activities for all ages.
