Volunteers are needed for a new scheme to support schools and help them provide high-quality careers advice.

Calling all businesses! We need volunteer enterprise advisers for a new scheme which will support schools and help them provide high-quality careers advice to young people.

By becoming an Enterprise Adviser you can help young people find the right career for them and raise the profile of your business at the same time.

This voluntary role will help you increase young people's awareness of the range of jobs in your industry and shape the skills that your business needs.

Enterprise advisers support a local school so they can deliver world-class careers guidance to their students, enabling young people to be prepared and inspired for the fast-changing world of work.

They are supported by a trained, full-time Enterprise Co-ordinator and have access to a range of practical resources, as well as receiving peer support from other volunteers.

We’re also encouraging people from all walks of life to #GiveAnHour, share their career journey and make a difference to the future career choices that young people in Lincolnshire make.

It might feel like an hour is too short to have a real impact, but we know from experience that an hour can create new perspectives and inspire new ideas.

You could speak to a school class about your sector, play a role in a business competition, carry out a mock interview or support a CV workshop. Even these short activities make a big difference and can change a young person’s life!

Email alex.nightingale@lincolnshire.gov.uk to find out how you can get involved, call 01522 550540 or sign up straight away at the Careers and Enterprise Company website.
