The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is looking for new members to join its Employment and Skills Advisory Panel.

The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is looking for new members to join its Employment and Skills Advisory Panel.

We’re recruiting four new panel members from the business sector to replace those who have reached the end of their current term, as well as a new university representative.

The Greater Lincolnshire Employment and Skills Advisory Panel is made up of business leaders, HR managers, education and training experts, local authority leaders and other government agencies.

It meets to consider employment and skills priorities locally, including the skills of young people, the skills of those out of work and seeking jobs and the skills of the current workforce.

Each member brings their own knowledge and expertise about employment, training or a sector or geography to the panel.

The successful candidates will attend four quarterly meetings per year and join monthly briefings to shape and to ensure progress against the panel’s objectives.

The role will suit candidates who want to make a contribution to improving the skills of a particular sector, location or group of people and who are able to step back and see the bigger picture across the LEP area.

We would particularly welcome applicants from North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and the south of the LEP area including Rutland.

These are voluntary positions which will run for an initial period of three years with an opportunity to renew.

To apply, send a covering letter outlining your expertise and interest to enquiries@greaterlincolnshirelep.co.uk before Friday 15th January 2021.

For further information or an informal discussion about the role please contact Clare Hughes on 07917 635527 or email Clare.Hughes@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
