The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP) works to improve the lives and opportunities of communities and businesses in Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland, by focusing on collaboration and partnership working.

We work with businesses, education, and local authority partners to develop strategies to drive economic growth. We secure public and private investment to deliver initiatives with partners to improve infrastructure, skills, and business support, with a particular focus on food, manufacturing, renewables, visitor economy, defence and security, and ports and logistics.

Central to this is a commitment to transparency and accountability. Our Finance & Audit Committee plays a crucial role in scrutinising our work and assisting the GLLEP Board in ensuring that we maintain satisfactory systems of financial and operational control, and that published financial reports comply with statutory requirements. Current members can be found here.

We are seeking finance and/or audit professionals to join our Finance & Audit Committee and support this important work.

Successful candidates will have:

  • an excellent track record in a professional financial, risk or audit role
  • great communication skills
  • a strong delivery focus with the ability to manage change

We are also interested in candidates who are earlier in their career and seeking to gain experience working as part of a governance board. We particularly welcome applications from female candidates and candidates from diverse backgrounds.

“I joined the LEP’s Finance & Audit Committee in 2017 because I thought it would be a useful way to understand the way the LEP works and be a part of the changes being brought about by the investments being made. I have found that understanding to be useful in supporting my own organisation in its relationship with the LEP.

“I continue to be a member of the Finance & Audit Committee as I am interested in how the decisions of the LEP are progressing and I am able to use my professional experience to advise and support the internal processes promoting good governance.”

Ian Knowles, Chief Executive, West Lindsey District Council

This role is voluntary and will involve attending four meetings per year. Occasional presentations to the GLLEP Board may also be required.

To apply, please send a CV or covering letter to Donna Maltby at the Greater Lincolnshire LEP at donna.maltby@lincolnshire.gov.uk  by Sunday 11th June 2023.
