The LEP has stepped up its search for a new Chair of its Board.

The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership has stepped up its search for a new Chair of its Board.

Following the announcement that Ursula Lidbetter OBE is to step down at the end of 2019, having chaired the LEP since its formation in 2010, the process to appoint her replacement is now under way.

The LEP is seeking an inspirational business leader to chair the LEP Board, build on the firm foundations already in place and drive the LEP’s ambitious £307 million growth plan to create thousands more jobs and homes in the region.

“The ideal candidate will be a successful business leader with the commercial acumen, board level experience and strategic leadership skills that will inspire confidence in our public and private-sector partners,” said Ruth Carver, Chief Executive of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.

“These skills and experience, combined with an outstanding knowledge of the Greater Lincolnshire business environment, will give the right candidate the credibility to champion our area at a regional and national level.”

There have been other changes to the LEP Board too: long-serving Deputy Chair David Dexter retired in September and has been replaced by two Deputy Chairs: Pat Doody of NatWest (private sector) and Councillor Philip Jackson of North East Lincolnshire Council (public sector).

Pat is currently serving as interim Chair pending the appointment of a new incumbent.

Zoe King of Epix Media was previously a co-opted Director but is now a Director, SME champion for the Board and digital lead.

New to the board is Alric Blake, Chief Operating Officer at the global animal feed company Alltech which has a base in Stamford.

Alric chairs Alltech’s Executive Committee and is the highest-ranking officer within Alltech outside of the founding Lyons family.

Prior to his current role, he served four years as CEO as appointed by Alltech's founder, Dr Pearse Lyons.

One of Alric’s roles as a Director of the LEP will be to develop Greater Lincolnshire as an agricultural hub for the UK.
