More than 100 people attended the first ever Team Lincolnshire celebratory lunch at the RAF Members’ Club in London yesterday (Tuesday 27th February).

The event was organised by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership and attended by UK investors and developers hosted by Lincolnshire businesses and stakeholders from the city and county councils.

Designed to showcase Lincolnshire to a wide UK audience to encourage interest and engagement with investors looking for new opportunities, the sell-out event was hailed a great success.

Ursula Lidbetter MBE, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, spoke at the event, giving the audience an overview of Lincolnshire’s ambitious plans.

“We don’t look inward in Lincolnshire,” she said. “We are keen to tell the world that Lincolnshire is a great place to live, work and do business.”

Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council and a member of the LEP’s board of directors, also spoke at the event, as did Tim Hedley-Jones, Major Projects Director at Virgin Trains, who confirmed that Lincoln will be getting more regular direct trains to London from next year.
