An additional joint call is also to be launched with the Greater Lincolnshire, Humber and the York, North Yorkshire & East Riding LEPs around Priority Axis 4b Promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy use in enterprises which will focus on supporting businesses in the food sector and associated supply chain.

Priority Axis 5     Promoting climate change adaptation, risk prevention and management

Priority Axis 6     Preserving and protecting the environment and promoting resource efficiency

The focus is on large-scale, strategic projects often restricted to projects seeking no less than £500,000 grant to any single project.

RURAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING

Rural funding opportunities targeted at micro, small and medium sized enterprises in the Greater Lincolnshire area will include:

European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD)

New calls will be launched (early in January 2017, subject to ministerial approval) for tourism infrastructure, business development and food processing projects. Calls will be open for around 12 months and a further tourism co-operation call will also be launched but slightly later in the New Year, allowing some time to co-ordinate activity with Visit England.

LEADER

There are five LEADER programmes that operate across Greater Lincolnshire and cover large parts of the rural area.

LEADER funding is targeted at our rural businesses and communities and focuses on supporting micro and small businesses and farm diversification; boosting rural tourism, farm productivity and forestry productivity; and providing rural services and cultural/heritage activities.

All five LEADER programmes are open and accept outline applications on a rolling basis, so there are no specific calls. Applicants are advised to speak to their Local Action Group manager to check eligibility and get advice on project development and the application process.
