An analysis of future jobs and skills within the Greater Lincolnshire area

The post-16 education sector is critical to the Government's strategy of raising productivity and economic growth.

In addition to Apprenticeship reform, Government seeks clear, high quality professional and technical routes to employment, alongside robust academic routes, which allows individuals to progress to higher level skills valued by employers, and better responsiveness to local employer needs and economic priorities. Government concludes that these objectives can only be delivered by strong institutions, and has facilitated a programme of area-based reviews focused on FE and sixth-form college institutions.

The area review will consider the future needs of the local area for the next 5-10 years and Local Enterprise Partnerships are asked to provide robust evidence about the skills that will be required in the local economy over that period.  This document provides that evidence base.
