The Investment Board has a specific role to ensure a commissioning approach is taken to develop programmes and projects to deliver the Strategic Economic Plan.

Strategic assessments are undertaken and recommendations made for the funding of projects, based on specific criteria.  Following the submission of a full project business case, the Board scrutinises and ensures that priority strategic projects are approved for LEP support and funding.

The Investment Board also undertake monitoring functions and report on the  progress of projects in delivering outputs and other performance indicators including spend to the LEP Directors Board.

The Board is made up of 5 to 7 Board Directors and reflects the overall composition of the Board.  Meetings are held as and when required.
