The LEP is looking for new recruits for vacancies on its Board of Directors and Energy Council.

Could you share your business experience and expertise and help to shape the future of the Greater Lincolnshire economy?

We’re looking for new recruits as we fill vacancies on our Board of Directors and create a new Energy Council to promote energy transformation in Greater Lincolnshire.

The vacancies on the Board of Directors would suit dynamic and experienced business leaders who live or work in Greater Lincolnshire, particularly those who work in manufacturing, energy, defence or finance.

We encourage applications from women business leaders as we seek to achieve balance and diversity throughout our organisation.

One of the vacancies will be left by our current Deputy Chair and SME Champion David Dexter, who is stepping down from the LEP’s Board of Directors. We would like to place on record our thanks and appreciation for his significant contribution.

We’re also looking for strategic energy leaders to join our new Energy Council, which is being set up to promote energy transformation in Greater Lincolnshire.

The role of the council will be to implement the recommendations outlined in our Energy Strategy for Greater Lincolnshire.

Energy leaders who join the council will act as ambassadors for the industry, take the lead on strategy for the sector and give focus to the delivery of our Local Industrial Strategy energy policy direction.

We’re working towards becoming a net zero carbon region by 2050. We aim to achieve this by becoming a test bed for the development of new energy models to unlock housing and employment growth and linking this with transportation, digitalisation and data communications while also addressing local capacity constraints.

The deadline to apply for the above roles is Thursday 31st October 2019. If you are interested in applying please send your CV and a covering letter to sue.groves@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

For an informal discussion about the roles call Kate Storey on 01522 550540 (Board of Directors) or Andrew Brooks on 01522 550631 (Energy Council).
