The event is for Team Lincs members to strengthen links with the area’s local authorities.

Greater Lincolnshire’s leading business ambassador group Team Lincolnshire is set to hold an event next week for its members to strengthen links with the area’s local authorities.

The networking event will be an opportunity for Team Lincolnshire’s members to meet representatives from Lincolnshire County Council, the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and other district councils and unitary authorities in Greater Lincolnshire.

Team Lincolnshire is a public and private sector partnership that works together to build a stronger business environment in Lincolnshire, promote the area in the UK and overseas and strengthen the links between businesses across the area.

Justin Brown, Enterprise Commissioner at Lincolnshire County Council, commented: “We are delighted to be kick starting our diverse events programme for 2018-2020 with a Meet the Team event next week. One of the aims of Team Lincolnshire is for the public and private sector to work more closely together.

“We know from our members that they welcome the opportunity to talk to specialist officers on a number of subjects such as planning, funding, highways and infrastructure projects. We also wish to give our members better access to the districts councils and our unitary authorities.

“This will be a unique opportunity for the private and public sector to come together and share information and ideas with the aim of sustaining Greater Lincolnshire as a flourishing destination to live work and invest.”

The event is set to take place on Thursday 19th July from 2pm to 4pm at the Elliott Room, Bishop Grosseteste University, Longdales Road, Lincoln LN1 3DY.

The event is the first in Team Lincolnshire’s new event calendar for 2018 – 2020. Councillor Colin Davie from Lincolnshire County Council will give a closing speech at the end of event.

Team Lincolnshire originally stemmed from collaboration between the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and representatives from the property and construction industry at the international event MIPIM. Its members work together to collectively shout about Greater Lincolnshire as a great place to live, work, visit and invest.
