Here are some highlights to look out for in the new year.

Local Industrial Strategy

We have been developing our Local Industrial Strategy with private and public sector partners over the past 18 months. We are now engaged with Government to shape its final content and agree the key areas of focus for Greater Lincolnshire.

More updates will follow in 2020 as the LIS takes shape.

Brexit

Following the Conservatives’ General Election victory we expect the UK to leave the European Union at the end of January 2020.

Food and drink businesses are invited to view the Government’s advisory page here. And all businesses can find support and information on the Business Lincolnshire website here.

We will update businesses with more detail when it becomes available.

Skills Conference 2020

Our first Skills Conference will take place at the EPIC Centre on the Lincolnshire Showground on Thursday 19th March 2020 from 8.30am until 1.30pm.

The event will feature keynote speakers, strategic panel discussions and debate as well as a Live Skills Arena where innovation in skills can be seen directly benefiting business and economic growth, as well as an exhibition area.

Delegates expected to attend include business people, local authorities, schools and colleges, education providers, academia, MPs and councillors, civil servants and policy makers, and there will be significant opportunities for influencing and networking.

To register your attendance visit the Eventbrite site.

To exhibit at the Skills Conference call Sarah Duxbury on 01522 585501 or email Sarah Duxbury for more information.

LEP Conference 2020

The annual Greater Lincolnshire LEP Conference and AGM will return in 2020 even bigger and better than ever before!

Our annual conference attracts over 500 delegates and we are aiming for similar numbers at this year’s event at the Lincolnshire Showground on Friday 10th July from 8am until 2pm.

A short film promoting the conference can be found here.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
