We're looking for leaders in health and care to join our new Health and Care Enterprise Board.

The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership is looking for leaders in the health and care sector to join its new Health and Care Enterprise Board.

The new board has been set up by the LEP to promote the health and care sector in Greater Lincolnshire – and the call has gone out for leaders from the sector to act as ambassadors for the industry and represent the sectors across Greater Lincolnshire.

The Health and Care Enterprise Board will take the lead on health and care strategy and give focus to the delivery of the LEP’s emerging Local Industrial Strategy.

“The health and care sector in Greater Lincolnshire is worth about £1.8bn a year, around 8.5% of total economic output,” said Andrew Brooks, Commissioning Manager at the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.

“It employs some 62,000 people in Greater Lincolnshire, around 14% of the total workforce, which is a higher share of workforce than the UK average.

“It’s a vital sector for us, which is why we’ve set up a board to guide the future growth of health and care in our area.”

In February more than 30 delegates met to look at how the LEP should start developing a vision and shared purpose for the emerging Health & Care Enterprise Board.

It brought together senior leaders from health, local government, the voluntary sector, academia and industry.

The LEP is also seeking to fill vacancies on its Growth Hub Board, Employment and Skills Board and Finance and Audit Board.

If you’re a Greater Lincolnshire businessperson with a passion for the area and you want to help drive the local economy forward, the LEP would like to hear from you.

Candidates for all the roles must live or work in Greater Lincolnshire and be able to take a broad view of all the issues affecting the Greater Lincolnshire economy.

Roles are voluntary and will involve between three and six meetings per year. The LEP is particularly keen to hear from female candidates.

The deadline to apply is Friday 28th June 2019.  Interested parties should send their CV and covering letter to sue.groves@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
