In January 2017, the Government published its Green Paper, ‘Building Our Industrial Strategy’.
The new strategy, announced by Prime Minister Theresa May, is based on 10 ‘pillars’ to help enable all parts of the country to succeed: helping to deliver a high-skilled, competitive economy that benefits people throughout the UK, including investing in science, research and innovation, developing skills, upgrading infrastructure and supporting businesses to start and grow.
As part of the consultation process, organisations, businesses and individuals were invited to draft their own response to the Green Paper. Greater Lincolnshire LEP worked hard to submit a detailed and collaborative response, articulating the views of our local authority, business and academic partners, and committing the LEP to working with Government to deliver the strategy. The response can be found on the Strategies and Plans page here.
