The manager of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP is to speak at a major engineering show in a bid to encourage those in the sector to do business in the area.

Ruth Carver will present a talk at the Advanced Engineering Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 12th November, which is open to thousands of industry specialists attending as exhibitors or visitors.  The talk will be geared towards highlighting the benefits Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire offer as an engineering and manufacturing hub to help boost the sector.

The show itself runs from 12th to 13th November and Ruth’s talk will take place on the first day.

Ruth said: “Across Greater Lincolnshire we have many things to be proud of, including a top-quality School of Engineering at the University of Lincoln, major brands operating across the region, new business parks like Teal Park offering development opportunities, and continually developing ports on the coast.

“This is an excellent opportunity for us to show what Greater Lincolnshire can offer businesses, either as a location, or to discover and take advantage of existing talent in the area.”

The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is a private and public sector-led organisation which works to improve infrastructure and the conditions for doing business. As well as giving a talk, LEP representatives will also be exhibiting over both show days.

The organisation is now calling for businesses in the Greater Lincolnshire area to take advantage of their presence by using its stand as a base.  Firms looking to engage with those in the sector can use the LEP stand as a meeting point to allow them to engage with other businesses either attending the event as a visitor or exhibiting.

The Advanced Engineering Show is split into five exhibition zones:
• Composite Engineering Show
• Aero Engineering Show
• Automative Engineering Show
• Auto Electronics Show
• Printable Electronics for Industry

The LEP will be based in the Composites Show area.  The show overall is set to house 600 exhibitors and will feature more than 160 technical presentations.  There will be five speaker auditoriums, more than 180 free expert technology presentations and networking opportunities.
