The #GoDigital Conference returned to help businesses to embrace digital.

Business Lincolnshire’s #GoDigital Conference returned last month to help businesses across the county to embrace digital.

Sixty-one Lincolnshire companies attended the event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln on 21st November to discover how to make the most of digital in their business.

The theme for 2019 was Digital Tools and Tricks for Transformation, with a focus on practical tips that guests could use in the day-to-day running of their business.

Whether delegates wanted to increase their turnover, boost efficiency or improve the customer experience, the day was designed to help them discover technology that can help them to work smarter.

The event was suitable for both digital natives and tech novices and introduced a brand new Ask the Expert zone featuring experts from a range of specialisms ready to answer tech questions.

This year’s keynote speaker was Google Masterclass trainer Simon McCaskill, who has previously worked with iconic brands including eBay, L’Oréal and the BBC. He discussed the importance of innovation in a continuously evolving digital world, particularly in regard to future-proofing your business.

Other industry experts from the Lincolnshire digital sector who spoke and led workshops included Epix Media’s Zoe King, Social Change UK’s Kelly Hunstone, Distract’s Peter Watson, Cursor’s Daniel Westlake and Lee Callendar from C4 Ventures.

When asked, 63% of guests said they were “very likely” to change how they used digital in their business after attending the conference, while the speakers were particularly popular: 87% of delegates found the talks useful.

Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, said: “The aim of #GoDigital19 was to show Lincolnshire businesses the many ways technology can improve their business and introduce them to practical tools and tips they can actually use.

“We’re glad so many people found the event useful and will be putting what they’ve learned to good use in their business.”
