Team Lincolnshire is set to hold an agrifood sector event in Spalding next month

Team Lincolnshire members and those looking to join the growing ambassador network will be finding out more about Greater Lincolnshire’s agrifood sector at an event in Spalding next month.

Team Lincolnshire will be hosting a joint event with Roythornes Solicitors to talk about the Team Lincolnshire Ambassador Programme and the new Food Enterprise Zone at Peppermint Park, Holbeach.

The breakfast event at Roythornes’ Spalding offices will run from 8am until 10am on Tuesday 25th September.

The main speakers will be Jill McCarthy, Head of Investment at Lincolnshire County Council, who will tell delegates about Team Lincolnshire and the benefits membership can offer companies, and Simon Wright from Lincolnshire County Council, who will be presenting the latest information on the FEZ at Peppermint Park.

Peter Cusick, a partner at Roythornes and Head of its food team, will open the event.

Roythornes is an active member of Team Lincolnshire and specialises in the agriculture, property and food and drink sectors.

Peter Cusick commented: “We’re delighted to be hosting this event and hope that food businesses across the region attend, not only to find out more about Team Lincolnshire and the work going on to support the sector, but also to build their business networks.

“The food sector is such an important part of the economy, and in Lincolnshire we are at the very centre of production – it’s important that we support all efforts to raise Greater Lincolnshire’s profile and Team Lincolnshire represents a great way of doing this.”

Jill McCarthy, added: “The agrifood sector is such a key industry to the economic future of Greater Lincolnshire. We have some terrific assets here, including our three Food Enterprise Zones as well as the innovative National Centre for Food Manufacturing.

“The Team Lincolnshire ambassador programme provides the perfect platform from which to promote our agrifood offer and to encourage further investment to the area. This event will be the ideal opportunity to discover how Team Lincolnshire can benefit your business.

“We are keen to widen the range of businesses that are members of Team Lincolnshire and the food and drink sector is one that we would definitely like to target.”

Places at the event are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To attend, please contact Nicola Shepheard by emailing nicola.shepheard@lincolnshire.gov.uk
