The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is focusing our resources on supporting our business community and stakeholders in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore some strategy development, work streams, projects, events, meetings, and other areas of our core functions may be on pause whilst we support the emergency response and shape recovery plans

The Visitor Economy Committee reports to the Director's Board and its role is to support the sector and shape and influence the future of the visitor economy in Greater Lincolnshire.

Butlins, Doddington Hall, the National Trust, International Bomber Command Centre, Visit Lincoln and the Lincolnshire Showground are all represented on a this committee which aims to boost Greater Lincolnshire’s visitor economy.

Primary objectives include:-

  • Producing a comprehensive body of information about visitors to Greater Lincolnshire
  • Producing a place marketing toolkit for visitor economy businesses
  • Maximising the opportunities offered by Mayflower 400 (a celebration planned in 2020) and learn any lessons from Hull City of Culture 2017
  • Identifying a branding hierarchy for Lincolnshire
