The Visitor Economy Board reports to the Director's Board and its role is to support the sector and shape and influence the future of the visitor economy in Greater Lincolnshire.

Butlins, Doddington Hall, the National Trust, International Bomber Command Centre, Visit Lincoln and the Lincolnshire Showground are all represented on a this Board which aims to boost Greater Lincolnshire’s visitor economy.

Primary objectives include:-

  • Producing a comprehensive body of information about visitors to Greater Lincolnshire
  • Producing a place marketing toolkit for visitor economy businesses
  • Maximising the opportunities offered by Mayflower 400 (a celebration planned in 2020) and learn any lessons from Hull City of Culture 2017
  • Identifying a branding hierarchy for Lincolnshire

The Greater Lincolnshire LEP has adapted to new ways of working in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. More board meetings and discussions are now being carried out remotely, reducing the need for board members and staff to travel around the county.
