Support for employers in Lincolnshire & Rutland making redundancies

The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is working with the National Careers Service and Futures to support businesses at the present time.

Redundancy support

If you have already made employees redundant, are about to make small numbers of staff redundant (up to five), or are planning to make larger-scale redundancies (five or more) Futures can support both you as an employer and your employees to manage the transition through online group sessions and one-2-one support using Microsoft teams

Support from the Department for Work and Pensions

The Employer Help pages provided by the DWP are aimed at both employers and their employees. Their website offers guidance on a range of topics which includes redundancies and how to make a claim for those former or furloughed employees.

The National Picture

The main findings from a recent Joseph Rowntree Foundation Report indicate:

  •        A 42% reduction in Job Vacancies nationally
  •        With a 40% reduction in Lincolnshire
  •        Hospitality & Catering, (not surprisingly) appear the hardest hit sector with a 70% reduction
  •        Followed by, Sales, Admin & Recruitment with a 60% drop
  •        Cleaning & Domestic help vacancies show a 25% uplift.
