Established commercial property developers, Stirlin, have been given the green light for a new business park in Gainsborough.

West Lindsey District Council have approved plans for the first phase of units to be developed on the 1.3-acre site, which has been named Willoughton Place.

Willoughton Place will be conveniently located on Foxby Lane Business Park in Gainsborough’s prime commercial district, with easy access to the A1, M180 and A15 road networks.

The overall development will provide up to 25,000 sq ft of employment space, which will include hybrid office and warehouse units, light industrial units and offices, all subject to demand and planning approval.

The approved first phase will propose three hybrid office and warehouse units, which will all be built to a high specification.

Each unit will measure approximately 2,000 sq ft and comprise an electric sectional door, personnel door, ground floor warehouse, first floor office, toilet facilities and allocated parking.

The new development has consent for Use Class E(g), with the potential to consider other uses subject to planning.

The site can accommodate design and build projects, which will provide businesses with the opportunity to acquire a bespoke facility built to their detailed requirements.

Tony Lawton, Managing Director of Stirlin, said: “We’re delighted to receive planning approval for the first phase of our new business park in Gainsborough. With the notable shortage of modern commercial property in the area, we are pleased to be able to provide new employment space to support the growth of the local business base, with our Stirlin Place development and now Willoughton Place.”

“Willoughton Place is the second plot of land in Gainsborough that we have purchased from Lincolnshire County Council due to the success of our Stirlin Place development on Foxby Lane, of which most is now sold STC and occupied by a variety of growing businesses.”

“We have appointed Pygott & Crone as our sole agents for Willoughton Place. With the recent success of our collective efforts on developments such as Stirlin Place, Leafbridge and Kirk’s Yard, we had no doubt that they were the right agents to market this exciting new opportunity.”

Tim Downing, Director of Pygott & Crone, says “We are very much excited to launch Stirlin’s Willoughton Place, which follows the success of their Stirlin Place development in the town as another great opportunity for businesses and investors looking to expand and relocate. Stirlin’s continued investment into Gainsborough is testament to the appeal of the town and its continued growth and expansion into an area to live, work and invest in.”

Interested parties are asked to contact Stirlin on 01522 682752 or their agents, Pygott & Crone on 01522 536777 to enquire about the new business park.
