Greater Lincolnshire is becoming a hotspot for property developers, according to Team Lincolnshire member Tim Downing, a Director at estate agents Pygott & Crone.

Tim now spends two days a week working from the agency’s London office, and he says developer interest in Greater Lincolnshire, both commercial and residential, has never been higher.

There’s been a particular interest from developers in the north of the region. Pygott & Crone is working with London-based developer Tranos UK to market The Curve, an innovative, sustainable residential development in Grimsby (pictured).

Tranos UK is reported to be interested in developing two further residential sites in Grimsby and Lincoln.

Tim is also working with Taggart Homes to market a residential site in Sleaford, and further sites have been earmarked by the developer in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

“These London-based developers recognise that Greater Lincolnshire is very much the place to invest in,” says Tim. “The area is highly sought after by local and national buyers. At Pygott & Crone 42% of our buyers are now coming in from outside the area, and our London office is really helping us.

“Developers are looking to invest here because we tick all the boxes – quality of life, good schools, affordable prices and improved transport links to name just a few.

“Lincoln is one of six cheapest cities in the country for first-time buyers looking to do at least some commuting to London, which is possible now given the expanded rail service to and from the capital.

“And we know that Lincoln has just been named the best city in the UK to raise a family by House Beautiful magazine.”
